The bar and restaurant exuded a cozy vibe, illuminated by warm colors and comfortable furnishings. There was an inviting open fire where I enjoyed a selection of fine, local real ales before my meal. Dinner was solid, reflecting an effort to cook with care and love using locally sourced ingredients. Chef Mike Allchorne produced seasonal dishes that showcased the region's flavors, and their breakfast was commendably prepared-my full English was one of the best I've experienced in years. If you find yourself in the area, do visit this restaurant. It's a place where you can linger over meals and discover flavors that resonate with the heart of local cuisine. While the overall experience could use improvement, it has the potential to serve both adventurous spirits and food enthusiasts alike.
